NORWAY Eliteserien
The Eliteserien is the top professional football league in Norway. Established in 1937, The league is run by the Norwegian Football Federation (Norges Fotballforbund).
One team that has consistently performed well in the Eliteserien is Rosenborg. Based in Trondheim, Rosenborg have a passionate fan base and a strong tradition of success. Another teams to watch out for are Molde FK and Bodø/Glimt, who have won many league titles.
Despite the success of these traditional powerhouses, the Eliteserien has also seen some surprise performances in recent years. Strømsgodset, based in Drammen, made headlines in 2014 when they finished as runners-up in the league.
The Eliteserien season runs from March to November.
