AUSTRALIA A-League
The A-League is the top professional soccer league in Australia and New Zealand. The league is run by Football Federation Australia (FFA).
The A-League season typically runs from October to May and include a regular season followed by a Finals Series playoff involving the six highest-placed teams.
Successful A-League Men clubs gain qualification in the AFC Champions League (ACL), which is the continental competition for the top club teams in Asia, and the AFC Cup. In 2014, the Western Sydney Wanderers became the first winning Australian club of the AFC Champions League.
The most successful team in A-League history is Sydney FC.
Some of the most popular teams in the A-League include Melbourne Victory, Sydney FC, Brisbane Roar, Western Sydney Wanderers and Perth Glory.
