CHINA Super League
The Chinese Super League (CSL) is the highest level of football in China.
The Chinese Super League was founded in 2004 and is organized by the Chinese Football Association (CFA). It features 18 teams who play each other twice in a home-and-away format.
The team with the most points at the end of the season is crowned the champion and qualifies for the AFC Champions League. The second and third-placed teams qualify for the AFC Cup. The bottom two teams are relegated to the second division, the China League One, while the top two teams from the China League One are promoted to the Chinese Super League.
Some of the most successful clubs in the Chinese Super League include Guangzhou Evergrande, Shandong Taishan, Beijing Guoan, Shenzhen, Dalian Shide, Changchun Yatai, Shanghai Port, Jiangsu and Wuhan Three Towns.
The Chinese Super League is known for its competitive level of play and has produced many talented players who have gone on to successful careers at top clubs around the world, including Hao Haidong, Li Fusheng, Jia Xiuquan, Wu Lei, Yu Dabao, Fan Zhiyi, Li Jinyu, Zheng Zhi, Li Tie, Sun Jihai, Li Weifeng.
