ENGLAND Premier League
The Premier League is the top professional football league in England. It is organized by the English Football Association (FA) and features 20 teams who play each other twice in a home-and-away format, for a total of 38 matches per season.
The league was founded in 1992, replacing the First Division as the highest level of English football. The team with the most points at the end of the season is crowned the champion. If two or more teams are tied on points, the title is decided by goal difference. The bottom three teams are relegated to the second division, the EFL Championship, while the top two teams from the Championship are promoted to the Premier League.
