BULGARIA Parva Liga
The Parva Liga, also known as the First Professional Football League, is the top professional soccer league in Bulgaria. It was founded in 1924. The league is run by the Bulgarian Football Union.
The Parva Liga season runs from July to May.
The most popular teams in the Parva Liga include CSKA Sofia, Ludogorets, and Levski Sofia. The most successful team is CSKA Sofia.
The Eternal derby is contested between CSKA Sofia and Levski Sofia.
The Plovdiv derby is contested between Botev Plovdiv and Lokomotiv Plovdiv.
The league splits into three phases. The top six clubs compete for the title and European spots, teams ranked 7-10 play in the Europa Conference Group. The bottom six teams compete to avoid relegation.
The champion participates in the qualifying rounds of the UEFA Champions League. Two UEFA Europa Conference League spots are allocated to the second team in the final standings and the winner of the European playoffs.
One team is directly relegated to the Second League. Two teams compete in two relegation matches against the second and the third ranked clubs from the Second League.
